2026年1月11日、岩国市総合体育館にて開催された「佐々木小次郎杯剣道大会」に、小郡剣心館として初めて参加させていただきました。
当日は雪が降る寒い一日となりましたが、会場内は多くの選手の熱気に包まれ、非常に活気のある大会でした。
本大会は、参加チームの約半数が県外からの出場という大規模な大会で、普段なかなか対戦することのできない相手と試合ができる、貴重な機会となりました。
今回は、小学生低学年チーム5名と中学生チーム4名で出場しました。
そのうち、小学生低学年チームは見事に1回戦を突破し、日頃の稽古の成果を発揮することができました。
大きな会場や強豪チームが集まる独特の雰囲気の中でも、落ち着いて試合に臨む姿が印象的で、結果以上に多くの学びを得ることができた大会となりました。
今回の経験を今後の稽古や大会につなげ、さらなる成長を目指していきたいと思います。

【January 11, 2026 | Participated in the Sasaki Kojiro Cup Kendo Tournament】 🥋
On January 11, 2026, Ogori Kenshinkan participated for the first time in the Sasaki Kojiro Cup Kendo Tournament, held at the Iwakuni City General Gymnasium.
It was a very cold winter day with snowfall, but the venue was filled with energy and enthusiasm from many competitors.
This was a large-scale tournament, with about half of the participating teams coming from outside the prefecture, providing a valuable opportunity to face opponents we do not usually compete against.
This time, we competed with a lower elementary school team of five members and a junior high school team of four members.
The lower elementary team successfully advanced past the first round, demonstrating the results of their daily training.
Despite the tense atmosphere of a large venue and strong opponents, our members remained calm and focused throughout their matches.
More than the results, this tournament offered many important lessons that will support their future growth.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the tournament organizers and to all the teams who competed with us.
